Joe Fasano - Guitar/Vocals
Joe Fasano plays Rock and Blues with a focus on tone, feel, and emotional expression. Originally from New Jersey and now based in St. Augustine, Florida, Joe's sound reflects decades of experience and a lifelong connection to the classic Rock and Blues tradition.
His story began at thirteen when his mother brought home his first electric guitar, paid for with 11½ books of Green Stamps. Joe learned by ear, developing a natural sense of phrasing before ever studying formally. He later refined his technique at the Edward Simon Guitar Study Workshop in New York City, immersing himself in Advanced Blues and Rock.
Joe's influences include Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Walsh, Leslie West, and Ritchie Blackmore. He doesn't copy them; he channels the qualities that made them great—soul, tone, dynamics, and authenticity.
He built his early reputation on the Northern New Jersey club circuit, performing originals and covers and contributing to several rising acts. His career expanded to larger stages such as MixFest in Boston and Musikfest in Bethlehem, and he shared the bill with Gov't Mule in Allentown.
Now a familiar presence in the St. Augustine music scene, Joe performs with The Usual Suspects, Ancient City Rock, and as an on-call lead guitarist for local entertainers. His guiding principle remains the same: play with heart, serve the song, and let the guitar tell the story.
Oleg Skholar - Drums
Oleg Shkolyar is a seasoned drummer whose musical path began in Chișinău, Moldova, during the Soviet era. At a time when Western music like rock and jazz was difficult to access, he discovered The Beatles through smuggled recordings — a spark that ignited his determination to pursue music despite having almost no resources. Before ever owning a proper drum kit, Oleg crafted his own cymbals and hardware by hand, driven purely by passion and ingenuity. He finally acquired his first real set at age 22.
After completing two years of service in the Soviet Army, Oleg performed with numerous bands across Moldova, building his skills and reputation. In the late 1980s, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and daughter, settling in Jacksonville, Florida. While working full‑time to support his family, he continued to grow as a musician and establish himself in his new home.
In 2015, Oleg was invited by the late Banner Thomas of Molly Hatchet to fill in with the Jacksonville band Those Guys. The opportunity opened new doors, leading to additional work with Boogie Freaks and eventually to his current role as drummer for the Classic Rock band Ancient City Rock.
With decades of live‑performance experience, Oleg brings solid musicianship, versatility, and a lifetime of perseverance to every stage he steps onto. His journey — from discovering forbidden Western music in Soviet Moldova to becoming a working drummer in America — stands as a testament to his dedication, resilience, and enduring love of music.
